My terrible online shopping experience with GlassesUSA has prompted me to share this cautionary tale. My 12-year-old ordered glasses using their virtual try-on, only to find he couldn't see properly. We discovered the pupil distance (PD) was incorrect because the site never prompted us for it, assuming a default, making the glasses useless. The sheer frustration of trying to fix this – struggling to reach a human, enduring slow email responses, and a broken exchange process – compelled me to leave a review and engage with customer service.

Customer: My son's new glasses are completely wrong; his doctor confirmed the pupil distance is off because your site never asked for it. He can't see with them! CS Rep: I sincerely apologize for the trouble and the inconvenience this has caused you and your son. I understand how frustrating it is when glasses aren't correct, especially due to such a critical measurement. Customer: Frustrating is an understatement. We've had a nightmare trying to fix this; your customer service is impossible to reach by phone, and emails take days for a response. We need new lenses, but the exchange process seems broken. CS Rep: I truly regret the communication difficulties you've faced. Please know we want to make this right. If you can provide the correct PD now, we will initiate a new order for the lenses immediately. For exchanges, our policy does require the original pair to be returned first. Customer: So, he has to be without glasses while we wait for a replacement? That's unacceptable. This whole process is dragging on, and I feel like I'm starting over every time I get an email. CS Rep: I understand your concern about the wait. While we do need to receive the original pair, I can ensure your replacement order is marked for priority processing as soon as it arrives, and I will personally follow up to minimize any further delays.

The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap of incorrect measurements and frustrating customer service.
