Bait & Switch? My BOGO Promotion Nightmare 😠


I'm writing this to warn others about my awful experience, hoping you won't make the same mistake I did. I was lured in by a BOGO promotion, but after spending ages picking out frames, their website glitched and wouldn't apply the discount. My final feeling about this company is that they are dishonest, doesn't honor promos. Makes it impossible to collect offer when the site is full of glitches. No customer Service 24 hours, no agent. Unprofessional. I was so frustrated that I had to contact their customer service, hoping they could just fix this simple error.

Customer: Hi, I placed an order and the BOGO promotion didn't apply because of a website error. I need you to credit back the difference for the second pair.

CS Rep: I understand your frustration, and I apologize for the trouble with the website. I see the issue here. Unfortunately, our system can't issue a partial refund for a promotion. The only way to fix this is for you to return both pairs and then reorder them using the promo code.

Customer: That makes no sense. The glasses and prescription are correct. You want me to ship them back and wait weeks just because your website is broken? Just refund my card for the amount of the free pair. It’s a simple solution.

CS Rep: I'm very sorry, but company policy requires a full return and re-purchase to apply the BOGO offer. I can email you a return label. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

Customer: Inconvenience? It’s ridiculous and unprofessional. You admit it's your mistake but offer the most difficult solution possible. Forget it. I won't be ordering from you again.
