But when I put in my credit card info and hit confirm purchase, my receipt showed the coupon was not applied. To make matters worse, they cancelled the order I had paid an extra $19 for 2-day shipping on, causing a further delay. This entire bait-and-switch feeling is what forced me to get on the phone with their customer service.
Customer: Hi, I just placed an order and the 45% off coupon disappeared after I paid. My receipt shows the full price.
CS Rep: I see. Are you certain you entered the coupon code correctly in the designated field before confirming the purchase?
Customer: Yes, I am certain. I have a screenshot showing the discount was applied before I hit pay. And now I see you’ve also cancelled my order, which I paid an extra $19 for faster shipping on.
